Thank you to everyone who participated in the Making Strides fundraising efforts and the walk YFE took part in the past few weeks. While the walk may be over, don’t forget that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The American Cancer Society estimates that in the US in 2010 there will be 207,090 new cases of invasive breast cancer in women. To find out more about Breast Cancer visit the ACS site.
While YFE fundraised for the American Cancer Society, there are many other organizations you may want to get involved with. The National Breast Cancer Awareness Month site lists those who have gotten involved in sponsoring the month on their site. Find other organizations (like Susan G. Komen for the Cure) you may want to get involved with on their site.
Consider using your business to raise awareness and fundraise for breast cancer prevention, finding a cure, and patient care programs for the remainder of October.
