Robin Fisher Roffer #YFEchat Special Guest

August 16, 2011

I am thrilled to announce our Special Guest for the August 25th #YFEchat is Robin Fisher Roffer. Read on for her full bio.

When I first started out as a young, female entrepreneur with Ovaleye her book, Make a Name for Yourself: 8 Steps Every Woman Needs to Create a Personal Brand Strategy for Success, was instrumental in helping me define who I was and what my bigger vision was for myself. I’ve since then given many copies of it out to friends and colleagues and I am going to do just that today!

In celebration of having such a power house woman open herself up to our community YFE is giving away three of her books to three young, female entrepreneurs. To enter to win simply comment with your personal mission statement (it’s okay if it’s a work in progress, we just want to know who you are and what you live for!). Contest ends Friday at midnight and is sponsored by yours truly! Winners will be emailed for address; check back Saturday morning for the winner.

Add the #YFEchat (over Twitter- grab the #YFEchat 101 here) to your calendar with 1 easy click. This will be a Q&A chat moderated by YFE with time for discussion on the topic of personal branding.

Finally, share the news! Tweet it out to your followers.

I don’t think I’m going to make the chat (away with the kids).

Exact words still in progress! Mission: “To instill confidence in fitness professionals as they put their brand online, by providing accessible and easy-to-manage solutions.”

Wow- I’m VERY excited about this chat and to hear Robin’s advice! This is such a timely conversation for me to have. I am working on a mission statement, so my draft version at this point is “To help clients celebrate special moments by providing the utmost in creativity and service.”

    Thanks for this opportunity!

Amazing book that I can’t believe I haven’t already read. Now it is on my list of things to read for sure!

My mission is to help successful business people stay successful and avoid burnout. I know it sounds cheesy but before starting my company, Innovatively Organized, I spent too much time in the fast-paced corporate environment watching my mentors and professionals I looked up to get caught up in the busy-ness of work and life and then burn-out or quit altogether. If I can help someone else avoid this by teaching or providing them organizing methods or productivity services and ensure they stay successful it makes me smile! For me – it’s all about doing what I love and helping others at the same time.

My mission is to help my clients picture themselves as they truly are, and love it!

This is a good exercise. Since I am passionate about my work and business I think often about what my mission statement is for my company but not really personally. Now that I am contemplating what my personal mission statement is – it is not far off from my business mission.

To live each day by recognizing and enjoying the gifts of special moments. To be dependable, generous, open-minded, supportive and kind to my personal and professional tribes. To be understanding and forgiving to myself knowing that each day I am doing the best I can.
