About Five Mile Longboards:

At Five Mile Longboards, our goal is to push the levels of innovation, and progression in the sport of longboarding.

For this reason, all of our boards are pressed in proprietary molds that are precision machined specifically for that model. This results in every board having its own concave and rocker lines that are finely tuned for each model, to give you the most control on that boards intended terrain.

In our shop, the approach to board design revolves around one central concept, RIDER INTERFACE. Trying to give you all the curves you want, to get the leverage where you need it, when you need it. As a result of this philosophy, our boards have a unique look and feel that sets them apart from all others. Don’t just stand on one, SKATE IT, and you will feel the difference. We build our boards in Tacoma, Washington from maple, and we heavily torture test them with the help of the Black Sheep, and our Militia, to make sure they can withstand heavy abuse from all styles of riding.

Watch the 3 part, short documentary, “Reanimation” Five Mile created as they were taking their boards to mass market last year to get an idea of what longboarding and Five Mile means to Cody…
“Reanimation” is a documentary about a longboard company battling with their own limitations in the harsh quest to find the American Dream. The film follows Five Mile owners Dan Kasmar, Cody Shea, and Stan Zeilinski through the painstaking task of moving into their new factory and redeveloping all of their products for the 2011 season simultaneously. It will bring you into their world and their lives as they attempt to accomplish in one month, what has taken so many others years to achieve. A true underdog story of sacrifice, determination, and their love and dedication to the sport of downhill skateboarding.
