Keeley and Erika were in their sophomore year at the University of Oregon when they began making unique, all-natural peanut butter for their friends and family. Encouraged by the enthusiastic response to their new products, the two named their company Wild Squirrel and launched a website, selling flavors such as Honey Pretzel, Chocolate Coconut, and Vanilla Espresso. After a summer of selling at farmers markets and online, the girls launched their company in local stores. A year after jars were put on store shelves, the two have left school and are pursuing the business full time.
The two have appeared in Oprah and Glamour magazines, the Huffington Post, as well as on the hit ABC show Shark Tank.
