YFE is about to make a few changes to our site and our organization in general, which will be premiering Wednesday, February 14th. In the meantime Jenny and I wanted to get together with our fellow YFE members (and nonmember followers alike) in a more social and less boardroom environment to chat and get to know each other outside of our businesses. So, we are on February 17th (a Thursday) in my little town of Duvall, WA (a sweet town about 40 minutes outside of Seattle).
Our casual get together of YFE’ers we will be held at Match Coffee and Wine Bar, one of Duvall’s newest businesses, which has the best coffee around and a cozy environment for us. Young Female Entrepreneur’s meeting this month is not one to miss!
Our speaker this month is Kammie Lisenby from Live Simply Efficient. Kammie will be talking to us about “mental clutter” and the power of a mastermind. Kammie is Seattle’s Organizational Expert “who gets busy mompreneurs into action to take control of their environments and create profitable results.” At this time of year, I’m sure everyone could use some organizational advice!

You’ve been waiting, and now it’s finally here! YFE’s first Margarita Mixer!
Next week we’ll be hosting our first mixer to get all you entrepreneurs out socializing and having fun! Men and women are invited so you are more than welcome to bring a friend or significant other with you. It’s a wonderful way to meet amazing people in the area. It will be in a casual environment away from television, chores, and other day to day stuff. You’ll be spending it with others who are building businesses and in the same life stages as you! Not to mention, you’ll be supporting a great cause.
A portion of each ticket and new membership will be donated to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. $10 of every $25 ticket and $100 Early Adopter Membership purchased from today until September 22nd will be donated towards the YFE team fundraising efforts for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in King County. The first six people to register will receive a complimentary breast cancer ribbon pin.
The mixer will be held at Desert Fire in Redmond, WA next Thursday, September 23rd. The fun begins at 6:00 pm and goes until 8:00. It’s $25 to reserve a seat, or FREE for those of you who are YFE members or register for the Early Adopter Membership. Included in the price will be appetizer platters and your drink ticket for those marvelous margaritas!

I just finished listening to our September guest speaker, Jen Mueller on the radio before the Seahawks game. Jen will be speaking to us as a business owner on Wednesday, September 29th. She is the found of Talk Sporty to Me and will be filling us in on “how to use sports conversations to gain more opportunities at work. Men do it all the time – it’s time women know all the tricks too.”
We will also be welcoming Aimee Martin who will be chatting with us about our current philanthropic focus: raising money for ‘Making Strides Agaist Breast Cancer.‘

About Jen Mueller
Jen Mueller is a FSN Northwest Producer/Reporter. She currently provides content for Mariners All Access and Cougars All Access, in addition to working on Mariners pre and post game broadcasts, and serving as a sideline reporter for college football and basketball games. In 2009, Jen became the sideline radio reporter for the Seattle Seahawks. You can hear her every Sunday during football season providing stories from the sidelines and conducting post game interviews from inside the locker room.
